About Us
Egem Coding is focused on introducing S.T.E.A.M Education to young learners in Nigeria, primarily using Coding and Robotics as a tool.
Founded in January 2021, Egem Coding is driven by the passion for young adults to become well-rounded individuals who make meaningful changes to their immediate society, using technological tools.
We are a team of professionals and experts who are specialised and equipped to work with both neurotypical and neurodiverse learners. We are committed to making Africans become producers of technology rather than consumers.
Egem Coding is a Partner Organisation in the Scratch Education Collaborative Cohort 3 (2023-2025) from Scratch Foundation. This collaboration is the primary source of the initiative, Egem Inspire S.T.E.A.M Education Tour for S.E.N.D learners.
This involves the development and implementation of an ECCR (Equitable Creative Coding Resource) in S.E.N.D. institutions across the 3 major states in Nigeria, that is, Lagos, Abuja, and PortHarcourt.

The hands-on activities build the spirit of team bonding in the students. The Robotics sessions, working with LEGOs, are very practical and expose them to what Robotics is all about. They get the sense of knowing that Scratch is beyond putting blocks of code together, and it is quite practical. They always have fun and they want to keep going with so much energy.
Before now, we’ve been having challenges in showing the learners activities that would better help them in their learning experience. But with their sessions with Egem Coding, the children were super excited and enjoyed the activities, I was excited as well. We had puzzles, coding, and robotics, and we had fun.
We are happy with the sessions with Egem Coding because the kids are learning additional skills that they can use in the future. The children are very happy whenever you are around.
